Denise Robertson MBE (1932-2016) was Britain’s best-loved agony aunt, and the inspiration for Voice of The North. She was a writer and television broadcaster, best known as a key member of the team on ITV’s This Morning from its first broadcast in 1988 until the diagnosis of her final illness early in 2016. She also had an advice website called DearDenise.com and wrote regular columns for national magazine Candis and The Journal.
